Einstein’s Attraction to Magnetism

Drawing by Austin Romanaux

When he was five years old, Albert’s father gave him a compass, sparking the boy’s curiosity in invisible forces. Learn more about his interest and about the wonders of magnetism at a free exhibit funded by the Richard Lounsbery Foundation, “Einstein’s Attraction to Magnetism.”

On view May and June 2024 in the curated art space, Dohm Alley, located between 100 and 102 Nassau Street in Princeton, the exhibit will explore what magnetism is, how physicists use it, and will include an Einstein selfie for fun photos. Guests can even play with super cool ferrofluid.

Then head to the Historical Society of Princeton to see Albert’s compass and many other fascinating artifacts.

Thank you to the Richard Lounsbery Foundation for funding this exhibit.
